Three days, three quotes challenge: Day Two

The Irish Procrastinator was kind enough to nominate me to take part in this three day challenge of favourite quotes. I am very grateful to her for picking me as well as feeling ever so slightly frustrated with her for tempting me into the time-consuming task of sifting through hundreds of possible choices. Selecting only three is proving almost impossible!

The Rulebook:

1. Thank the person who nominated you

2. Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).

3. Nominate three bloggers each day.

Today’s quote is taken from Joy in the Morning (the eighth book in the Jeeves and Wooster series), by P. G. Wodehouse:

“It was one of those cases where you approve the broad, general principle of an idea but can’t help being in a bit of a twitter at the prospect of putting it into practical effect. I explained this to Jeeves, and he said much the same thing had bothered Hamlet.”

Today’s three nominees are:

There’s Something About Nancy

Tales of Belle

The Orang-utan Librarian

Please don’t worry about playing if you’d rather not, and if anyone else does particularly want to join the fun, please let me know in the comments and I’ll nominate you tomorrow, otherwise I’ll just continue to pick on people at random 🙂

  1. I don’t know how you’re going to able to top that tomorrow. P.G. Wodehouse had the best sense of humour, a real dry wit. Fabulous quote, but could you remember it or did you have to look it up?

    1. Open any page at random and you’ll see two or three fabulous quotes. I did have to look this one up – my brain was too tired to remember even which quote I used yesterday (I had to go into my post to look!). Will you play too? Nobody would mind if you don’t nominate anyone.
